Never Know

Shut off from society, cut from its womb
Isolation secludes me from a barbarous tune
Self cast into shadows that my creator has sent
But safe from the news, forgotten, irrelevant

Out here in the wilderness, my heart may yet mend
Dependent on nothing, the worlds may soon end
Never knowing if it’s true, if you live on still
Only knowing inside me, that true love is real

And if all around you the bricks they should fall
Just call on me sweetheart, that’s what true love is for
Never knowing exactly if you will return
My heart can’t give up less you’re ashes are burnt

And even when then, you are buried and gone
I still will not falter, our bond is too strong
Life ends in the present but futures are untold
One day in the next life, when free form this world

I will wake and I will see you, such a beautiful smile
To carry me with you for eternity’s while
And dance in the stardust of heaven’s great birth
Never knowing the reasons we parted on Earth

The world may live on through society’s means
But a man is not whole when he can’t have his dreams
So wait here forever, I’ll wait till I die
Never seeing the horrors that hurt between eyes

Never knowing the glorious man in your life
Never knowing how many tears, that I would have cried
Here I am nobody, my mind it is lost
My world’s been destructed, evolution my ghost

    Nice.

    It's a great add...
But a twist of some sad.

Thank you. Yes, it's meant to have that tragic feel to it, but hopefuly with the strength of love showing through! I wrote it for a novel I'm writing. Thanks for commenting and glad you liked it.
