Salty winds taste like
delicate flowers on fields
of sulfur;
sweeping me away like dust
across polished wood floors
I feel the warm embrace-
a plethora of musical notes
clinging to my body as a leaf
holds to a tree.
Free strands of hair billow
out like a cape to my mind-
swirling in time to the push
and pull of majestic waves before
me.
Forceful breezes carry tunes
from strange lands; caressing
my frame in every crevice
'till no visible part
of me hasn't succumbed to
the beauty...

I must say, you and I are a lot alike through our words. I absolutely adore the picture, not the one you have posted, but the one you have created with your immense vocabulary. Plethora is one of my favorite words. I also am in love with your screen name. This is lovely.

It feels like peeking into your diary, it's very intimate, at least hits me that way for some reason. Striking.

A very expressive poem that really establishes a powerful scene, almost aromatic in that reading it feels like breathing deeply.

Wonderful...the second time around...still just as powerful...
Like a moutain falling with only a muted whisper.
