Letting go.

her mind throbs with silent numbness,
constant downward slide of emotion

in history there never was a harder choice,
nothing more difficult than letting go

there is no erasing the memories,
they play looped across closed eyelids

sick of the pain, anger, and confusion,
she finally speaks her ever wailing mind

she sits in her box filled room,
waiting for the battle to begin

this is the sound of friendships' end,
throbbing, silent, numb

This poem captures how i feel right now. Difference is I am unable to speak my "ever wailing mind". I just want to hang in there, work at things and hope they get better.

    Great write.
