In a place of moonlit trees
and softly singing honey bees.
Where you need no thoughts but these
no hurting, haunting memories.
Where a sparkling river gently winds
erasing all other views but mine.
With no sense of wrong, or life, or time.
All I need, is all I find.
Within the dew upon the flowers
an overwhelming thought, it towers.
Of life without commanding powers.
A life to live for months, for hours.
In a place of moonlight trees,
I watch the brilliant dew drops freeze.
Then slowly fall upon my knees,
devoid of all thoughts but these.
For here is where I long to be
with nature's song embracing me.
Willing her to hear my plea
and set me here, 'neath aging tree.
Sing to me the song of love.
Whispered softly by stars above.
It fits my mind like lace trimmed glove,
Teaches me to live, to love.
In a place of moonlit trees,
I slowly fall upon my knees.
Haunted, hurt by natures memories.
I fill my head with all thoughts but these.

I love this. It's so beautiful and wonderfully written. I find myself wishing I could escape to this place. This has such a calm, serene tone to it. This is gorgeous and brilliantly written. *bookmarked*
