Searing flesh
The stench of burning skin and hair and muscle and fat
The sulphur fumes and pain
Satan's world he reigns
The heathen's lives judged soulless wastes
They failed to believe
The doctor, the nurse, the protestant
NO SALVATION FOR NON BELIEF!
The child rapist burns beside
The atheist volunteer
In His eyes all judged the same
All crimes noted, judgements severe.
His creation suffers in hell
As God remains at ease above
Whilst he's slaves remind the living
That his plan is of love
The tortured screams at Satan's hand
At God's ruling laws
If it wasn't for my atheist belief
His command I would abhor.
The stench of burning skin and hair and muscle and fat
The sulphur fumes and pain
Satan's world he reigns
The heathen's lives judged soulless wastes
They failed to believe
The doctor, the nurse, the protestant
NO SALVATION FOR NON BELIEF!
The child rapist burns beside
The atheist volunteer
In His eyes all judged the same
All crimes noted, judgements severe.
His creation suffers in hell
As God remains at ease above
Whilst he's slaves remind the living
That his plan is of love
The tortured screams at Satan's hand
At God's ruling laws
If it wasn't for my atheist belief
His command I would abhor.
Author notes
You know the really funny thing. I've been an atheist pretty much since I was able to understand what it meant. But I still have people try and save me, and I often try understand the religious views. The more I do though, the more I look at their belief structure, I find myself thinking the same thing.
Even if I did believe, I wouldn't worship. The 'system' that God has set up I think is nothing more than a dictatorship and, frankly, I find God repugnant.

I bloody love it! I can feel the eternal internal argument. Echoes many of my own thoughts - thank you for this.
