She's bringing herself back to the days
where she was strong enough
for all the mistakes she made
because she could look up
and see him staring back at her.
That same smile in his eyes
and the same grin across his boyish face.
His body had been strong[the military
always seemed to do that to those boys]
where he pulled her close
and spun her around
in dizzy uncalculated circles[when they finally
saw each other after all those months of
his training in Fort Knox]
But as that vision darkens
the next one spins inside.
The night is dark as well as the room
they're laying their feelings across the floor
but they've been stumbled over
and scattered aimlessly
without care or emotion showing[to lie face up
for there raging hearts to see]
She doesn't looks as if
she'll show a piece of fucking emotion
but we know it's there deep down
but she's voiding herself
of anything that'll intentionally harm her
in the long run.
He's never been fucking worth it[what a lie that
one is;everyone knows she's always loved him]
But why are these tears escaping her now?
She feels so empty and horribly mistaken
everything is passing her at the speed of light
and she can't keep up
so she's falling so far behind
the sky is so empty
[She's so empty]
He's gone for good now.
