My Mind

My mind was a heap of wires and circuits

Muddled up and without control

Electrodes firing without purpose

Sparks flying

In bewilderment

Until one day I decided

to do some rewiring

I deconstructed my mind

Removing all the unnecessary parts

Until I had achieved a much simpler

and more elegant design

With far fewer moving parts.

This way it will be far less likely

to overheat

and catch on fire.
