Distantly Close
Who am I to fathom more
Than minds can fully boast
Like murky bonds of white and black
Her heart is distantly close
A paradox many cannot see
Blinded by logic and thought
As whispers fleet from passion's core
To fight what must be fought
Feelings and morals collide together
Destroying the will of one
Torn in two directions
Until emotions are left undone
And so the remnants are left to me
A mess I cannot piece
But I'll try with all my might
To return our simple peace
I am the one who shall remain
Unlike men of most
Wading in this sea of doubt
Ever so distantly close

I think that last stanza really drives home the overall point of the poem, dear.
The entire poem is about the frustration of being so close to someone, but always kept at a distance... but this one sums it up perfectly! Yay, Justin! ^_^
And, as always, my offer still stands, love. I may have lucked out this past time around with relationships, but the pain from my last ones are still quite fresh.
Beautifully penned. Or penciled. Or... typed.
Whichever method you used. XD
