It was a moonlit night
and all was still.
Leaves did not even whisper
to girls on their window sill.
The moon was full and bright
the land awashed in pearly glow.
The Juliets crooned to the night
craving for their Romeo.
The castle was no different.
While in most chambers some slept.
The queen sat froze in silent grief;
the lonely princess wept.
The queen did not hold the love
of her ambitious king.
The princess longed for handsome face
to make all of her sing.
Crooning quietly to self
upon her window's seat
suddenly they both noticed
some silver at their feet.
For the queen it was a necklace
laced with diamonds and gold;
for the princess it was an arrow
with a story yet untold.
The queen unwrapped the parcel
that held her lovely gift.
The princess did the same,
as both felt their hearts lift:
The queen had found a token
of her distant king's love.
The princess had found a note
upon the arrow of above.
It was a poem of such beauty,
of such majesty and grace,
the poet went on to scribe it
could only match her face.
That night upon the moonlit scapes
of Elfir-Seldrady,
the lonely royal ladies
slept in peace and happily.

A tale of the self... of these fictional people.
