All I Had

We'll never know the way I would have looked into your eyes
The day you said yes
The day I said "I love you"
The day you said goodbye.

Drop of water on my tongue
In the middle of a desert
Was all I had of you.

All I had of you was a whisper of a feeling
I didn't know I could feel.
Touch of satin on goosebumps
The worst of teases.

The road lies before us
To go our separate ways,
But can we truly forget?
Can we truly bcome something

  Else?

  Individual?
  Whole?

They say love conquers all,
Time heals all wounds,
All that "inane dribble"
I don't believe it.

The Muse strikes me now with a poem full of cheese.
Fuck the Muse,
Fuck the world,

Fuck love.

In a loving way, of course.

Author notes

Try not to think of this as so bloody angry, just more like frustrated and disappointed.
