Within you I am celestial, ornate, stellar; divine
It’s when we overcome everything
That great divide
When we use the distance as a thread of light
Of life, of love
To tie our souls off to the stars endlessly shining from above
I dig within and find we burn brighter than a sun
And within me you didn’t birth just anything
But the whole galaxy, pulling, binding, trust.
These aching stars, these worried hands, how they reach, oh how they creep
Across the skin like candlelight, like oceans, like endless seas
Like all those times you told me, how much we mean…
Not only to each other, but an entire world divided
And that our love could suture the gaps for those left…
Suffering to find it
And your burning light could lead the way for many more than us
Like the blazing tails of comets streaking across the midnight sun.
The way the tide pulls back the sand and pulls us underneath
And leaves us breathless with its power as the world falls to its knees
We were meant for something else
A true and faithful self
As the universe rushes through our veins
And breathes life into our…
Stars divine, ornate, and true
The twisted tangled sinews of love renewed
And within our threads we pull to please
As we help this broken road to breathe
While they turn the pages and find themselves
We have shed our ghosts upon the highest shelves
And every night we breathe it in
Our love, our life, our forever…again.
What'd ya think?

Absolutely beautiful, and absolutely true. Although the whole of it moves me on a very personal level, I think the part that immediately stuck with me was -
And that our love could suture the gaps for those left…
Suffering to find it
And your burning light could lead the way for many more than us
Like the blazing tails of comets streaking across the midnight sun.
The entire idea that a love that strong could, in fact, inspire others is really uplifting.

Great imagery and descriptions...loved the language you chose too.
"While they turn the pages and find themselves
We have shed our ghosts upon the highest shelves
And every night we breathe it in
Our love, our life, our forever…again."
I hope it's this easy for you...I really do...It was a great poem...keep writing...
