The new Weyrwoman shall be found
in not a Crafthall but a Hold
Once found she'll go to Benden
To Impress a queen of gold.
She will not have been found
'till many months have passed
and inside of Benden Weyr,
a clutch of eggs amassed.
Once Nemorth has laid her clutch
Then Weyrmen mount a Search.
Search every nook and cranny,
She must not leave you in the lurch.
When her queen has risen,
and a bronze flown her gold,
Mighty Weyrwoman shall retrieve
Lost Weyrs from out of old!

So this was the first poem I ever wrote, way back in 6th grade,(1996) based off of Anne McCaffrey's wonderful series, The Dragonriders of Pern.
I just recently found it and thought it'd be entertaining to post as a mark of how far my writing has come.

I have never even read the book series, but I think it's kind of neat that this piece is from when you were in sixth grade. Awesome little write. Thank you for sharing this one with us!
