The Drift

Blackberry disease
got me mentally disorganized;

turning cartwheels in space
I lay, eating my allergies.

Newstand secrets spilled,
ran;
licking author's feet.

Moonshine disco,
lolipop gardens -
corrode away;

dream house transmogrified to roach motel;
soulmates drift as solitude junkies.

Those talking footprints
are quiet too
for yesterday,
they froze - in snowfields - forever.

Drooling over ashes
I adorn my graveside hologram.

    Whoa, great use of the prompts to make this short write subtly whimsical
    I like the images they provoke and the theme reminds me of a different world, all right

      well... i wasn't able to check the messages until now, so could not reply / edit earlier. teh attempt in this poem was to bring together seemingly disassociated words/phrases and weave a story. hence the use of various phrases.
