Feather Pens And Unwritten Stories

Rustic talents fading to a complete
halt; nothing to show for what was
but dried ink on silken paper...

Has the waning of years past forsaken
the abilities that once were?

Hopeless attempts conjure theories
of incapability, whisking away desired
ambitions along with feather pens and unwritten stories.

Perhaps utensils should remain immobile,
for the well of inspiration has since dried.

Author notes

Mood: Failure. Perhaps I'm just not good at this whole "writing" thing...

wow, this poem took my breath away. Perfectly written and expression right on!
Of what I can see now, your pretty damn good at writing, maybe it is that all-known writers block that has bit you.

Hope to see more of your work and best of luck

I like this and it seems to me that you can still turn a good phrase like "Has the waning of years past forsaken the abilities that once were?" (I've been there!) and "theories of incapability". Been there too.

    I like this write.
