Chapter and verse memorized
Our every word scrutinized
With bated breath, they wait
for God's faithful to fall

Did he cuss, did she lie?
All have sinned, we can't deny ~
yet there are those who wish
our backs against the wall

A twisted sense of irony,
quoting Scripture like a pharisee ~
perhaps they'd make better
Christians -- come one, come all!

Note: I don't claim to know a whole lot about different beliefs, but I've come across my share of those who seem to know a whole lot about mine.  Many who are quick to point fingers, "He messed up!"  Have I lied, cheated, drank, lusted, cussed, got angry, had suicidal thoughts, wanted to hurt someone, broke the speed limit? Yes - we all have.  We need to get past finger pointing, looking for flaws, and get to the heart of the matter:
Romans 3:22-24 (New International Version)
"This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus."

    Crazy write....truthful write.....much to explore ~

     

    .....from textbook philosophers to scripture fanatics, this sums it all up......and as a child of a Preacher, this brought me back to a place I never want to return........the hypocrisy of living within the walls of perverted minds and guttermouth liars ~
