Emotional, frustrated and angry all in one
Wishing I had a gun to point and blow the brains out of the one they call love
Because if this is what it's going to be like
Then I rather end up in jail or get in a bunch of fights.
See I thought life with love would be different than life without
And just because you see smiles and happiness
There's so much more
That I don't doubt.

You think it's all good cause you're on the outside looking in,
But this time in life love can't win.
I hate the fact that my heart decieved me
And got me to this point
It started off fun.

But sometimes fun don't last forever
And being young and in love
I thought we was perfect together,
But you see perfect does not exist in my mind
Because throughout the time we was an item
You decided your boys were more important than you and I was.

And you pulled away from the one you loved
You said when we first met I was a gift from above
When you left me out to dry I said I was done
I just wish I could have seen the end before we begun.

Yes you were a gift right from the man above
And sometimes the Lord gives us gifts
And wraps them in a hurry that we are clueless to what is right before our eyes
That maybe you and I aren't one of a kind.

My boys always told me that you are for me,
But little do they know eye to eye we don't see
Being the one who shut you out
I think of saying sorry but I have some doubts.

And how many sorry's would that be?
I lost count...sorry!
See you're saying sorry,
But that's not how you really feel
Just look at me and tell me the deal
We both know it's over
We both know it's the end
I just want to know
In the back of your mind should we have remained friends?

Friends could never happen
Cause I can't look at you another way
I guess this is the point when we say
Good bye to all we had and all the fighting
And hello to the new futures we'll be writing.

And good bye to the good times as well as the bad
They will be greatly missed, but there's no reason to be sad
Our love for each other was never meant to be
So we did what we could
And set each other free.
