Longing deeper than the ocean,
emptiness of reason, cold.
Aching of unspoken sorrows.
Only You can make me whole.
Time and motion blend in living
neath this canopy of sky.
Where You are is where my verses
find the grace enough to fly.
Peace surpassing all and knowing
far beyond belief or creed.
Love, the greatest of the virtues
rises up to intercede.
Fall, You catch me in the moments
knelt in sweet humility.
Give me only You, Beloved,
hold me in tranquility.

Made me smile...
...in the despairing hope this brings.
It's like a love sonnet for a greater Love.
Have not a heart of praise...
...but be praise itself, for this is why you were born.
One is truly happiest, when one has found their life's purpose: to be the purpose of Life itself.
Praise the One who is our life.
Hmmm...I seem inspired. I wonder why...

Lovely
I love this, and agree with Sam. It is full of peace. I find the meter very soothing and the words are lovely. It also takes a lot of strength to put your faith on paper so props for that, too. Congratulations on the silver!
God bless!

calming
You have great skill in writing, and your faith shines. I was particularly struck by the rhyme of humility and tranquility, how apt.
