Dusty snips and shiny bits Discarded memories lost.
Scattered pages all around But what has been the cost?
Tattered clothes and musty face Thoughts that twist and turn.
Raw emotions deep inside No heart to fly, to yearn.
Once the sky, the joy, the love A smile with each new dawn.
You are Mine the voice had said But now the voice was gone.
What happened to that special place So warm with loves soft glow
The hold, the sense of belonging Of never letting go.
To once be Yours forever said And always promised You
And so with time to fade away Unbroken, yet untrue.
Laying here amidst the ruin Decayed by wind and rain.
All around the silence strong Left naught but with the pain.
In the quiet there comes a voice That asks if this will do?
A lift, a scoff at that old thing No that will never do.
End o’er end so tossed again So carelessly thrown away
With dusty snips and shiny bits The doll on trash heap lay.

This is beautiful. Thanks.

Poetic
The first two lines are the most compelling for me. Really liked how you separate each line, almost as if the second bit was a response to the first. I read the words but didn't pick up a lot of negative emotion from it, it seemed more to glorify the feelings of love that is not returned.
