Why do you say I mean so much to you?
You say that everything I want to do,
Or say, is going to show the earth
What I am truly worth.
I’m only a person so small,
And they have put up their walls.
They don't even hear what I say,
you tell me you do, everyday.
You keep saying that if I were to die,
You’d jump into my coffin and lie
Beside me.
Author notes
You may be only one person in the world, but you may also be the world to one person.

Nice write. Best of luck in the contest. This is a really nice piece. Was it written to someone in specific? I also like the Author Notes.

But you say that if I were to die
You’d jump into my coffin and lie
Beside me.
i LOVE those lines,
they are so sweet.
but I feel like the rest of the rhyming is kind of forced.
just my opinion

Great poem. I love the lines:
But you say that if I were to die
You'd jump into my coffin and lie
beside me
