To bang your head against a brick wall...
and find a beauty in the bruises...
is to begin to understand my life.
and find a beauty in the bruises...
is to begin to understand my life.
Author notes
What it means is, to have a horrible experience, but still find something to 'laugh' at/ love in the tragedy, is to understand my life.
If I talk about the events of my life straight up (depression, alcohol, drugs, suicides, homelessness, death of a parent etc) it sounds horrible, but there was/are times of joy.

I thought it was pretty simple, guess not.

not sure what you're trying to say but for me the bruises are reminders to find a better solution for all that confuses you. After damaging both hands many times and raising bruise and bumps on my head, I finally found the right way to cope

Ow... I don't think I'll understand your life... I think it'd hurt my head
Perhaps I could find an un-painful way

Good luck with your entry
