Vamps Mother Goose ~pt.2~

Missing image
Polly, put the kettle on

Polly, put the kettle on
to brew me up some tea
But not the kind that you’re used too
but the wicked kind you see

Make it with the stuff I grave
from rotten little boys and girls
Mix up real slow and sweet
see how the texture swirls

If you make it right this time
I promise to refrain
from cutting little pieces off
of your little brain

Now Polly, put the kettle on
and brew me up some tea
the kind that I am accustomed too
the wicked kind you see

Boys and girls, come out to play

Boys and girls, come out to play
follow me, I know the way
to candy, muffins and games galore
follow me, it’s just behind that door

I promise that you will have a good time
lots of singing and lovely rhymes
your parents, those awful spies
wont love you as much as I

Now that I have you here in my house
I promise the beatings will be long
and once the silence again returns
I’ll begin again with my songs

Did you ever see a lassie?

Did you ever see a lassie,
a lassie
a lassie?

Did you ever see a lassie,
hanging from a noose?

Author notes

OMG, I never had so much fun with these three. The last one made me laugh so hard it hurt.

This was cute and funny in a ruthless kind of way. I want to read it to little kids on Halloween under the moon and fog and smokey stars.

    this is so twisted!
I love the way it's written, especially the use of "Polly",
I don't know why but it's SO fitting.

Now that I have you here in my house
I promise the beatings will be long
and once the silence again returns
I’ll begin again with my songs

    that was my favourite.

I am glad you enjoyed them. I laughed the whole time. I have many Mother Goose Nursery Rhymes that I have "made better"!

    Beautiful...

Really. Captured me. I could imagine a serial killer (something like Batman's Joker...yet more sinister) creeping with a knife...calling for the little girl to stop hiding...singing 'Boys and Girls come out to play'.

Didn't make me laugh...but made my imagination jump-start.

    Thanks for the words.

Glad you saw into the poems. That is what makes reading poetry so much fun. I like your visuals of the serial killer. LOL
