The darkness has overcome you, the shadows have twisted your perception of the world. You cower lonely and afraid in the corner of your inner sanctuary but the fingers of the abyss have found you every time and haunted your memories with the tears and lies of your worst demons. You slowly erode within your soul, losing all feeling of happiness and hope until you have withered and collapsed upon the icy floor of darkness. Let it soothe you to sleep knowing you will soon never feel pain or fear again. Let it soothe you to sleep that broken hearts and lost love are no longer to hold you back. For though you will be nothing, you will be free, released from your sick cycle of impurity that will never again haunt your dreams. Sleep with a dark smile in an eternal bliss covered in the blanket of the abysmal nothingness. All your life you have been both the punisher and the punished, and now you are nothing.

If you are nothing, then how can you possibly be free? This poem is pretty good, but there are some conflicting things like this that don't make sense. Thank you for entering the contest, good luck.

I loved this
Such darkness... I could not pull away.
