Tattered Piece of Stuffed Fabric

Have you ever wondered,
as you got up in the morning,
what your house and all things in it
are worth?
Well, I've got an answer for you.

Your stuff is worth absolutely nothing.

I don't care if you have diamond bedposts
or a gold sink.
It's worth nothing,
unless it means something to you.
So go into your attic
and take a good look around.
See that little tattered piece of stuffed fabric in the corner?
That's your old teddy bear
that you got from your parents
on your sixth Christmas.
Boy, you sure did love that thing
as a kid.

How much do you think that's worth?

It's worth the world.

Wow, I really liked this. Especially how you portrayed that quote so uniquely & creatively. Wows.

-I don't care if you have diamond bedposts

    ...

Perfect lines. I love how you describe how this expensive luxury, and then you say..."It's worth nothing." It gives the poem more meaning, I think.
