I've got to believe
otherwise this clock
might stop ticking
and I may give up
the will to breathe

paper on paper
I'll pass by the wayside
too good for the wasters
too lazy for the
high rolling clowns

but what goes round
comes around
you'll be knocked off
your throne soon enough
by something shinier than you

I still choose to believe
there is somewhere for me
maybe I'll need to change
my approach may be all wrong
but I'll get there eventually
