The smell of roses pungent
in the sticky air of summer,
fading behind purple skies
as the sun sets low beneath
the horizon.
Kisses smooth with meaning,
clinging to your lips like
laughter slipping through your
teeth when you forgot to
catch your breath.
Crying when you forget why
the tears fall and simple things
like pencils and candy seem
to explode treasure in your
selfless eyes.
When white tunnels clear their
path, silly notions like these
will cloud my vision,
taking with me all the wonders
of the world...
Author notes
Write me a poem of the things I shall miss.
I don't know why you're dying, but these are
the things I thought of...

Thank you. I'm not dying. But thank you. With so much yet too little things just derange the mind into thinking that we are alone and useless. I was that times a million more thoughts. I was at my end and wished it done. I thank you for this. I shall truely miss these things. If ever I die. Knowing that friends supercede emotional distress I shall now think only never to what I had previous. Thank you once again.

Beautiful
Lovely verse full of meaning - I especially like the third verse "simple things like candy seem to explode treasure in your selfless eyes" and the last verse "When white tunnels clear their path, silly notions like these will cloud my vision, taking with me all the wonders of the world" - it shows us how our vision can be blurred when we forget the wonderful world we live in. Thank you, Love, Harriet
