You wondered what I would do
When you said you didn’t love me
When you said you weren’t coming home
Yes, it broke my heart
My world started to fall apart
Sure I cried many nights
You had been my life for so long
Ironing your uniforms
Cooking your meals
Taking care of our kids
Leaving myself out of most of what i did
But I dried my tears and let go of you
Yes I let myself go………
Back to school
Back to my writing
Back to living my own life
Shopping bought me some new clothes
I let myself change my hair
Even take a vacation on my own
Even had a date or two
I’m learning new things
Trying my wings
Striking out on my own
Letting myself have some fun
I feel like my life has just begun
I’m not sure what you thought I’d do
I only had to accept that we were through
It was then that I was fine

Do you have any favorite bands or singers?
I could pick one of the songs from them. -

My favorite is Randy Travis. I like many of Allen Jackson, George Straits, Tim McGraw
though I like many country singers, I don't go for wild, drinking songs though -
