The light inside burns so brightly
Never did it dim
Always bright
Always upright
Always held so tightly
People will cry
People will die
Always things go wrong
The days go on and so does his light
Glowing very brightly
Everything is ok
Nothing is wrong
Until that tragic day
Then one day
Something happened
And caused his life to change
As he picked up the phone
And said Hello
He heard a voice he didn't know
His head got really heavy
His legs got really weak
He tried to talk, but couldn't speak
Now everyday is never ending
His driving light of life seems gone
Yet one small spark still lingers
Igniting hope in his heart as life moves on.

This is an obscure sort of write in which the details are somewhat vague. Doesn't mean I don't like it though.

This is lovely, best of luck in your contest.

I can imagine one big thing that would make me feel that way, one major phone call. But I know from experience that even that one big thing (a death in the family) would be something I would ... well, not exactly get ovr. But hope would return and life would go on. That's what happens.
A very descriptive write.

Wow, this is the best piece i've read from this contest and the last. The emotions that are vented from this poem.
They're so strong, and powerful.
'People will cry
People will die
Always things go wrong
The days go on and so does his light
Glowing very brightly'
I love how this poem is so heart touching.
Fantastic!!
Good luck, fantastic write.
