Fire in the heart, it burns;
fun and love the spirit yearns.
Destroy the hate, defeat the sin
let the sunlight shine on in -
Take a breath and take a bow;
light is dimming, even now.
Rest upon the gnarled beech tree;
fight the darkness just to see
all the truth be doused in light;
shadow swirls, have strength to fight.
Catch the thicket as it's torn.
Watch the cricket, shed a yawn;
Make a war with Satan's spawn;
never walk away forlorn.
Shred the fear that hides within;
break the tears and shed the skin.
Employ the light and let it shine;
only you can spend your time.
Fire in the soul must burn;
only then can our hearts learn.

I love this. It's beautiful and I adore the way you've written it. I don't usually read many rhyming poems that flow well but this one is amazing. Brilliant write and thanks for entering.
