Hair Raising!

Dedicated to all who air on the hairy side!

She is now a mere spectre, in her former dwelling,
An electrifying presence, ever so compelling!

A case of ghost meets ghost, and one reaching for another,
She went over into spirit, collected by her mother!

A hair raising experience, for this wispy spirit,
Who dwelled once n her house, until she was electrocuted in it.

She now haunts her old kitchen where once she would cook,
For she is one of many souls this haunted house once took.

'Hair today gone tomorrow' many jokers might say,
But this is how this waif looked on her dying day.

Her beautiful long locks of wavy wispy hair,
To match her laced edged dress so feminine and a flair..

Her fairy-like features looking so wistful here,
Amidst the debris of her passing, scattered here and there.

A mere ghost of what once she was, now frozen in time,
So cruelly struck down when she was in her youth and prime.

Picture depicts:
A very feminine waif-like female with
long wispy wavy hair looking as if someone plugged her
into the mains power and with ghostly ribbons reaching
out for her from the direction of the window toward which
she stands staring in a derelict kitchen of an empty house.
Half grey tones.

A very ghostly take on the picture prompt. I really like this take as it is similar to how it makes me feel when I look at it. Great job on this poem and thanks for enteringmy contest. Blessings, Patty
