Bound by a Chain

The rattling of chains is heard throughout the place of which she walks,
Always wearing one chain or one strap on her clothing.
Music blasting through her failing headphones,
of which shouldn've been thrown away long ago.

The chains are a symbol of what the world has done to her.
Once a free spirit she ran throughout the world of literature.
So free, so young, she loitered in those found taboo to a modern world.
The people of the "right" told her how "wrong" she was for being herself.

The music is the lifesupport that she now needs to be alive.
People who are the in the "right" have stolen her own life from her,
in doing so they had damaged a girl at a young and tender age.
The failing headphones just symbolize how she's struggling.

Unforunately, born out of hatred given to her by others,
one so that live within another but so fragile and weak,
it acts as if she were going to break into half.
This is the sould of the Rogue Shadow.

Living within a young body this soul took up in a dying body,
trying to keep it alive with the help of modern technology.
No one has ever physically seen this centuries old poet,
But some say she resides in the chain the girl wears.

The young girl and the soul she shares with another,
The chain is both a blessing and a curse.
It is the phyiscal representation of the girl who's living
and the sould Rogue Shadow who couldn't move on without a second chance.
