I'm going shopping for decorations,
that are colorful and bright.
Getting balloons and streamers,
so this special party will be just right.
I'll order a seven layer cake,
from the best bakery in town.
Send out wonderful invitations,
it's her sweet sixteen this time around.
Hiring a DJ is simply a have to,
so we can hear the hottest tracks.
A little Pink Floyd, Eagles and Led Zeppelin,
Weezer, Dispatch and Johnson~his fist names Jack.
We'll have lots of chips and dip,
and little sausages in BBQ sauce.
I'll have a photographer to take pictures,
I don't care about the cost.
We'll fill a brand new trash can with ice,
and stuff is with different juices and drinks.
They'll be a long table for the food,
and one that will hold the gifts I think.
All the boys will ask you to dance,
for the night belongs to you.
Your party will be filled with many people,
some friends of old and some that are new.
You'll have the best party you could dream of,
a sweet sixteen like none before.
When the night is almost over,
you'll be so happy and blessed with more.

Hee hee, party time! Sounds like a perfect party, the poem explained it just right! I hope the birthday goes better than you can ever imagine. If it goes as well as described in the poem then its gonna be fun!
The poem had a warm party feel to it, and the colors and background helped to enhance this.
