Drowning Etheree

Breath
Is gone
In bubbles
Floating upwards
Fleeing from the depths
Of a dark, dim abyss.
Light is unavailable
Lost in the unknown recesses
Of murky tidewaters and coral
Jagged reefs cutting the ocean water.

Pushed deeper, dangling limp, descending low
Waiting for a rescue that won't come
Pondering the question of how
You got to this wretched hell
Missing the sun's warm rays
The zephyrs' cool breaths
Like a kiss
Wafting
Free.

Drowning is one of my worst fears. To be there knowing your gonna die by loss of oxygen. You've captured it Chloe! I think that Drowning Etheree would be a uniques title.

I really enjoyed how well you did with this form. I am terrified of form poetry lol but you made it look so easy. Very descriptive with vivid and amazing imagery. Well done!
