My dear friend-
I took a break to
take my meds today,
And as I was doing so,
there were several people
walking by here,
that saw your sunflower-
you could see the questions
on their faces,
"there is a sunflower
under that Oak tree-
who put it there and why?
It's a bit odd that there
would be a sunflower there,
especially with all the ferns there"
But not a one stopped
to ask me if I knew-
If they don't want to ask,
then they will never know
about you-
laying here,
and myself being
the only one that
stops by-
I guess it's true-
what they say,
people are afraid to
question what they
fear the answers too-
Maybe when this book
comes out, and they
read it, they will
understand, it is
just my way of
remembering you-
