This is a curtain made of waterfalls
Behind it, the truth is hidden
Struck with the light
The rain distorts it, so that it may never reach
The darkness inside
Candy wrappers decorate the interior of the soul
Laced with feathery dreams that do not know how to fly
This is beauty, beneath the surface
You see the ripples, you do not see the stone
You call to her
She does not answer you, only turns
so that you cannot see her eyes
she smiles at you, says hello
to shatter your suspicions, so that no one may suspect
that beneath the ripples
that stone, her heart of pebble, is being worn into a shell
by the silent waves.

Well, now it sounds fine, i don't know if it was just me or if you changed something.
-
Line 2 doesn't seem to go with the flow of things.

Could you please explain? It makes sense to me, as the 'truth' would be the despair hidden behind the waterfalls that hide it and block all help coming from outside. Why do you think it doesn't flow?
