Journey after abuse

Days that seem never ending and nights that seem so cold,
when wishes you make are not granted and your fears begin to unfold,
take your hand upon your heart and bow your weary head,
ask god to take away the pain and the evil words that were said,
ask for extra angels to help keep you who you are,
don't worry about what others see for there is beauty beneath each scar,
follow your dreams and set your goals reach for the stars up above,
know that you are worthy of receiving unconditional love,
take a moment every day to look into a mirror,
dont be ashamed of crying let god catch every falling tear,
you were put on this earth for a reason and its up to you to find,
let your heart become your map and the rest will come to mind.

KEEP SENSE OF WHO YOU REALLY ARE.

These are some touching and very encouraging words for an abused child living through the hell. As a former abused child, I would have loved to hear these words you have so beautifully written here. Emotional abuse casts the longest shadow for sure. A very wise write, and thanks so much for entering my contest. Blessings, Patty
