wrought of stone, pinned carelessly in the air
her spindly abode mingles with blue skies
upon clouds of fluff wafting gently, it lies
her sylph-like gaze pierced with utter despair
she takes a fall broken beyond repair;
and birds scream filling ears with their shrill cries
as the stairs strangle the castle's doomed life
warped by her pain that they could never share.
invisible scars pecking at her skin
weeping inside; mangled, her soul remains
alone cherishing dreams, of the sanguine
and crimson, flowers through her dormant veins
fragile wings unfold in pure ecstasy
and fly her, back into her fantasy.
