Yellow haze of setting sun
Drifting summer days count down
like take-off to the unknown worlds
of space and what's beyond...
Dancing butterflies in gentle breeze
send shivers down my peaceful spine.
Meaning dripping from every pore of
Mother Nature as she sings songs
through whispers in the leaves of trees.
Perhaps the purpose of life itself
is to enjoy these delicate moments,
striving with all the humanity within us
to better them.
To keep them.

Overall I really like this poem. You have a nice and quite meaningful message, and I really love the beautiful imagery with which you express yourself. The last four lines are excellent. There are a few places where the wording or grammar is awkward, but this is definitely a good poem. I'm so glad you entered my contest; thank you for sharing this poem.
