The virtuous are under constant eyes
Because we never believe what we see,
People think that it’s only a disguise
If it’s too good to be true, it can’t be.
Respect for oneself leaves a person free
To do what’s right, despite what others say,
To be ever vigilant, come what may.

Oooh. Glad to see a poem written to this prompt.

A mechanically sound piece. I would have liked a bit MORE, maybe a second stanza, but it really isn't necessary to get the message through. You nailed this prompt. Well done poet. I did enjoy this very much. Best of luck in the judging. ~Pamela

Thank you so much for this challenge. I had written two verses, but wasn't sure if there was a relationship between the two, so I went with just the one. The second was about knights and armor.

To hold virtues fast truly does require
effort and focus. Well-done in taking the
prompt and form on! Blue

I think too the virtuous are under constant eye, a hard roe to hoe but worth the result. Very nice. ~Bramble
