Of Letters and Lines and Fantasy Lands

Letters ascend,
swirl across,
slowly descend
in order, not chaos;

lead the eye,
hypnotically,
into depth of sky,
rhythmically;

obey the creator
with pen in hand,
dually the narrator
in fantasy land.

Letters and images,
all that one needs,
as artist alleges,
you follow the leads.

Stir your imagination,
see with your soul
your own affirmation,
from parts to the whole.

In any configuration
called art or poetic impression
conduct your own examination
then excercise your free expression.

      Hi, Moony!!!!

      I like that one, too.
      Will probably show up
      as an avatar some time!

      Thank you, dear moon.

    Dear Aestete2000

I always follow my Muse's urging
    wherever she may lead
for she has been a vestal virgin
    that fills my every need.

In realms of myth and fantasy
    she takes my faltering hand
and, on the paths of history,
    helps me to understand.

She's brought me operas and taught
    me music through the years
and never once has left me short
    of subjects or ideas.

But most of all she teaches me
    to keep my inspirations free.

She is nodding her complete accord as I read your words. Thanks and applause.
    Love and hugs, XOXOXO Hugh.

Ah, Hugh, what a perfect partnership,
and a silent one as well, for your muse
let's you do all the talking!

Her inspiration is ours to share
      as you capture attention
      whether in archtectural description,
historic reanactment, or a daily muse.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

      M-C

Oh, should comment on the verses first...
Always fitting the graphics (or graphics fit the verses)
your words wrap colours and movements
    senses and thoughts, and shine...

    Lovely!

Actually it was a comment by maa
on the previous piece with the garden gate.
where I first introduced his configuration,
that spurred my thoughts to the page.

Being an old imbiber from the Maine woods I like whatever is the color of moonshine. Beaumont was an elderly man my dad knew when he was a kid, a country philosopher type.

Ah now I see, an olive green color. I like the yellow green sun-like image there. A variation of the first image...

I saw that one for Timothy the other day but don't think I mentioned it. That would look good I think as your face image thingie.

          I've been set in turquoise,
as in a gem stone setting,
but I suppose I could play once

Ah yes but it is good to break free and try new things, including colors. I understand. I used to do everything in orange, every poem background was Moxie orange. Finally I got tired of the sore eyes and now it's usually just white backgrounds I use for text.

Dark, auburn brown, the color of a rusty horseshoe. I'd ask for an avatar but this account is in constant flux...though I kind of like this name (it's an old 19th century novel by John Pendleton Kennedy.)

Yes, this was Coelho. Poor Coelho he was deported for a little while. But have no fear, he's like a king in Tonga.

Now me, I like green. I hate yellow-orange for that is the color of cucumber death...oh horror!

I'm exercising my free expression...me as in the puppet master to all these little fellows. On to the next one.

Picturing Mayne as the Wizard behind the curtain,
ordering magic, click of the keys, and fast as
M-C's fingers can move, voila, magic appears!

I like that yellow one below...or above...not sure, but I doubt it would show up that well as an avatar thingie. The first one is more defined, the second more colorful I think, but for the face image thingie, I think the first is indeed the right one.

    Stir your imagination
    see with your soul
    your own affirmation
    from parts to the whole.

If I did that I'd have one big blot of black from all the colors being mixed together...poor me, lol.

I need to change my avatar thingie, Will dig through some of your Yem graphics I stole and pick one.

I thought you'd be itching to try another one soon.

I was being consistent, I tell myself, keeping the same,
but actually just hesitant! But now I've plunged in!

Not your kind of colors, but I'm still playing
      with the concept...

      YOU...NEVER a bog blot,
but a wild and interesting mix!

Now me, I'm not colorful like Yem, I like black and white...

I wonder how this purple one would look as the avatar. Ah, I never thought until now. I could make an animated gif with several of your images...lalalala, playtime later for me.

Weird I never thought of that before...yell if you'd prefer I didn't, since it is your artwork after-all.

          Go right ahead---with the animation.

I love to share with soneone who has fun with it
          as do I.

There must be a way for me to do it better, but
I could only put in a link to bucket.
          Will accept directions sometime....later....

As far as animated gifs, there are a couple easy to use free programs out there for simple folk like me. When all you want is to add the various graphics together and fix the speed at which they change, they work just fine. If you want one just yell. I have a small one I could send you, unless you have one already.

Actually I like that purple. I'm a basketball fan and one of my fav colors...or two colors is the Los Angeles Lakers Purple and gold. It's just Moxie's label is orange...so I like orange...it doesn't matter that I find orange actually just an average color...Moxie's label is orange!

I should have made my avatar wider,
for your Moxie is bigger, easier to see.

I wasn't sure how far they reduced after being
          entered.
