Forever Love

few moments in time
we wake up realizing
you have met your soul-mate
looking into eyes of the future
sought for so long

trembling in arms
that finally held you
making love to the one
who stood beside while saying goodbye
to a grandmother
before she left this world

making memories in walmart
laughing as we played like kids
loving how you touch my soul
with just a sweet glance

but now as my father lay
in a hospital room
having open heart surgery
trying to dry my tears
but letting my fears fall
on you

a whisper of an angel's breath
to my ear...it will be okay
my better half and
world until the end

A lucky man,the one you write about. An obvious depth of feeling that holds this piece up in granite arms. Ain't love grand? ;-)

This is deserving of a gold award. I just adore this sort of writing. It isn't pretentious and it gives a true, strong message of love and compassion. It's inspiring to me to read such work, always making me realize I can attempt to capture such brilliance in my work, (though no one is saying I will.) Brilliant.

Hun i am in West Viriginia, us redneck girls love country!
Country is stories, sort of like poetry of real life in motion.
Besides i already did others like Night Wish and Evanessence.
This is a breath of fresh air!

      Hugs
