willow water tea.

strings strapped on branches fettered in the afternoon tea
while the catfish fished and the seagulls saw.
a couple of twigs entangled themselves upon the paper bark
simply to impress starlings in the leaves.

sometimes the water ripples and rifts
and sometimes the saplings are envied;
but sometimes the tea is sweet and sugared
and the sprigs compliment tangled ribbons.
