tangled up in all that's left of you
i ponder implosion and eternity
and what's really beyond the veil, love,
can you hear me?
& thank god i've got a god to pray to
i knew i called you angel for a reason, i knew
and you've sprouted your wings
you're watching me
watching your daughter, windswept hair,
a smile like yours-- she doesn't know
why daddy's not at home,
but all those years ago
when i put your ring on my finger
i created a line like diamond wire,
a lifeline of sunlight,
now you breathe through me,
live, feel, know, remember--
& i tell you to live through me,
to watch with my eyes
and my fingers tingle
as i feel you and
i know some part of you
still lives within me
Author notes
Real love,
so strong that it lasts through death--
..beyond, pulling, tying us together,
speaking.

I do believe you have nailed love perfectly. I do know death can't get rid of it. It is a force that lives forever, and a bond that is not easily broken. This was beautifully written. Thank you so much for sharing this and good luck!

Oh yeah the power of love will hold you entwined forever in spirit...Yet no matter how hard and painful death may be when a loved one dies they will always live on in our hearts and be a part of us till we are once more united.
Good luck in the contest.
