a lustrous, lucid color suiting for her;
a color of passion, of flaming expression,
shown through her tempered quill.
Those stained-glass windows of eyes reveal, however,
her camouflaged, intricate oblivion.
I see a forest glowing with light yet surrounded by darkness,
memories inscribed on their barks.
At its center: a hollow tree - an achromatized shell,
shifting the forest in cataclysmic measure, spreading the night...
the epitome of all lewd and pale;
yet with every shift the tree,
a reborn flora to bring the dawn of a rising sun.
Psychology dictates it bipolar;
simply lack of therapy...percolated through society,
abscinded from normalcy and trapped in the mind's asylum -
an insane, repudiated fiction.
A fatal assumption, for what I saw
was a faceted gem unrivaled by extreme rants and their spokesmen,
carved from a world of fraudulent claims and exruciating judgments.
...I witness these things
as they pour from those bright supernovas
in all their brazen beauty, windows that symbolize
shimmering fierce vessels that materialize
the violent pendulum of life.
As reality becomes actualized once more,
I come back to the lady in red, a newly arisen phoenix...
standing there with a stabilized complexion, despite
the blatant assaults and collisions of emotion
that occur...she was resistent still.
On the contrary, she was driven by it,
amalgamating with the chaos within...
with a fiery quill, her quick, avid jots
form works hotter than the hand that wrote them...
filled with an arsenal of ideas, the flaming ink
is infused with the very marrow of her being,
enmeshed together to form a vindicated legend.
In a less-than-magnanimous world,
I can only watch in awe as I witness
the rising of an auburn sun.
Author notes
Of course I have notes.
Well, here are the options I tried (fruitfully) to use: 5, 13, 14, and 15. There were definitely more I wanted to use, but it took a lot of effort just to pull this one off. I feel comfortable with it now... ^.^

...Man, that was long. X.x I had it organized into 4-column spaces, but AP doesn't condone it. Grr.
Hope you enjoy, because I certainly did! ^_^
Happy 5th Anniversary, Allie - glad to know you, and it's an honor to be your friend! (Good contest, too! O.o)

COngratulations
A lot of effort went into this well constructed poem. I applaude the smoothness of it and considering the word bank, most excellent.

-
Thank you; I'm glad you enjoyed it. ^.^

Wow... Just wow. This is great. I mean seriously. Perfect flow and all the wording made sense! That in itself is amazing! Most people couldn't pull it off. You, my friend, have extreme talent. Yay! AP should really let us give more clappys!

-
-
In response to my equally amazing friends, it is my duty, my privilege, to put forth my best and my all...in any relative regard. ^.^ I think that talented and intelligent ones make mental nests among similar people. ^_^ And yes, more clappys would be awesome.
-
-
Wow... That was like a mini poem in itself. Off to the quote archive it goes! And yes, I agree. I think we should be able to give at least ten.
-
-
Really? That was one of those off-the-top ones, too. ^.^ Ten's a good number. Or you could do what Nakatrea did in Seasons - copy & paste 's. Which was very flattering as well. ^-^
-
-
Well, it was still amazing. Yep, I think so true. This is true... Hmmm... I was going to. But I just figured I'd rant about how AP needs more.
-
-
Your rants were always fun to read. ^.^
-
-
Thank you. I rather enjoy ranting anyway.

OHHHHH MY GOODNESS! I'm breathless!
Okay, wow. How do you comment on something so amazing and perfect? I don't even know where to begin!
First of all, I'm not only impressed with the number of vocabulary words you used - but how well you used them. Most people don't seem to understand the actual meaning of most of these words, or the connotations associated with them - but you did. Also, you were able to work them into the flow so effortlessly.
Then, the subject matter... let's just say you brought tears to my eyes. The part in the middle about "bipolar" and the way you see me vs. what they say I am... it felt really great. I appreciate that so much.
The fire and marrow parts at the end, in connection with writing - absolutely stunning! This is just too much!!!
I'll definitely be back to read this again and again!!!
You are just stunning me every time with your poetry!

-
-
You know I give it my all. ^.^ I love poetry, what can I say?

However, I must admit that I looked up quite a few words to discover their meaning in order to use them. That's one of the reasons why I like word banks...another reason being that the words in the bank dictate their own sort of broken story in my mind, one that I try to put back together. It's odd and really cool at the same time.
Thank you for enjoying it so much; it was the desired effect. ^_^

Oh my god, you're right, that WAS long! 50, no, 51 words to be included in a single poem, man, I would have never been able to pull that off. Truly amazing job! GL with the contest!

Love,
~Faithful-Star

Wow, you actually bothered to count them!? I tried to make it easier by splitting them into columns, but NOOO, AP didn't like it. X.x Hahaha. Thank you for the luck, and I'm glad you liked it.

-
Ok, the imagry was perfect.
Actually, screw the imagry, the whole thing was perfect.
LUV IT... good luck with your contest!

Thank you! You compliment me too well...
Glad you liked it. ^.^
