My legs hugged
to my chest,
thinking of life
when it was best.
The curtain flutters
in the softest breeze
Light flashes in
and my heart can unfreeze
The curtain's dance halts
laying back to rest
and in darkness again
my thoughts continue on the best.
The best of times were sunny,
untainted by the night.
Like sun shining through a window
promising every thing's alright.
There was no dancing curtain.
No veil to the earth.
There was only happiness
from my day of birth.
By childhood ignorance
always gets stained.
Just like ink on paper
after it rained.
But the curtain will always dance.
Night always end.
Light touches your life.
and broken hearts can always mend.

Sweeeet, Secret Ninja Skillz ! I like this poem, it was pretty well written, and a nice take on this particular prompt, but this didn't really stand out much to me...it wasn't memorable. Still a nice write though
