As rain falls on drought ridden land outside
I give thanks as the earth drinks life's essence
A purifying heart these drops provide
And moon sheds a glow of luminescence.
Feeling gentle droplets upon my face
My arms reach out to embrace this blessing
I spin within this gift of God's grace
This shower of hope my soul caressing.
Dawn displays pictures of nature serene
Water flows in streamlets across the land
All around that was dust now shimmers clean
Nature that was dying now looks so grand.
Rain has a way to revive faith in all
And from beneath barren earth new life crawls.
