In a field of wild flowers,
Where I like to run and play
They lies and untold mystery
No one knows to this day
There is a small clearing
Sunken into the earth
Against a flat wall lies a door
No one knowing its true worth
A plain stone archway
With a green wooden door
A simple latch with no lock
Leaves me wanting to know more
Curiosity killed the cat
Or so I have been told
But there will only be one way
For this mystery to unfold
Summing up all my courage
I take the latch in my hand
And pray to the spirits
That the prize might be grand
Life Unknown

Nice write. I like the story told throughout the poem. :]
"A plain stone archway

I can feel the curiosity pulsing through me! What's beyond that door? Great wite. Loved the imagery.
Thanks for entering.
