T’was a fine day for eating
Shelves were stocked full up
Bountiful things we’re feeding
All sitting down to sup
Beef and lamb and chicken
Our menu for today
Kitchen’s where they’re a cooking
A veritable buffet
Corn is roasting on a grill
Vegetables in a pot
Cooking for about thirty
That seems like a lot
Dinners almost finished
Need to make desert
Grab a bowl with berries
And give a little squirt
Rinsed and cleaned on ice cream
A feast fit for a king
Next time I’ll bring my sister
To clean up all our things
Night time’s falling fast
I need my beauty sleep
Tomorrow’s another busy day
I’ve got a schedule to keep

This poem is absolutely delicious. The imagery is so good I feel like sitting down to the table a Thanksgiving Feast in August. Well done
