I breathe a sigh
Made inaudible by the wind
A tear leaves my eye
Hidden by the falling rain

The nights are long
And the days drag on without meaning
I try to be strong
But I don't know if I can continue to stand alone

It's to not make promises lightly
Your broken words in my head ring
"I will never leave you"; a lie

Don't get me wrong
I don't blame you for what you couldn't help
But the fact remains that you're gone
