A Moment In Time

There is that quiet hour
in the midst of the gray
morning sky

As I silently contemplate
the nights end eclipsing
itself by the whisper of
a breath

Dawn now breaks across
a feathered landscape
to reveal a silent
soliloquy for myself
to hear

How effortlessly the warm
sun glides over the
horizon as if to portray
a spectacular formation
for my eyes to behold

The glow and warmth
descends upon my face
gently kissing each cheek

Eyes closed, lips warmed
this joy transcending all
that I am, all that I feel,
threading this very moment
into my fabric forever...

Author notes

My most prized poem of all. An incredible joy to write

This poem is amazing. I love it so much... do you mind if I post it on a poetry blog I run for a newspaper in California? It's called Poetry Planet and we get hundreds of hits a day. You can find it at:
    blogcentral.thereporter.com/planet

And of course your name and copyright would go on the poem.
