absolve,
at that precise moment
I was forgiven
How I know I cannot tell you,
it could have been from the wetness splashing on my toes
while the breeze was kissing me whole-heartily.
It could have been from the gentle whisper
that comes from the part of you I keep in my pocket.
It could have been so many things
but in the end I know;
absolution could only come from my surrender.
I have lived safely in the shadows
now is the time for sunlight to expose me,
demand of me,
what I should have been giving all along,
to you.
True colors now leak through,
not just my shades of blue.

I love the sentiment behind this write! Absolution from ourselves (or a higher power perhaps) can only been foun in surrender... and moving ourselves into the light to live the life we are meant to! Great write!

I really liked this poem.....
you could feel your soul slip through it...
It could have been from the gentle whisper
that comes from the part of you I keep in my pocket.
That line created a lot of imagery, and definition!
loved it....very inspiring and truly pulled us in closer.
